2023 was a good year for Jessica Korda—more on the personal front, though! She competed in a few events at the start of the season, until June, but then had to take a hiatus to recover from her injuries. She would have made a sensational return to the field after recovery, but she couldn’t! In August, she announced to the world that she was expecting her first child with her husband, Johnny DelPrete.

After the announcement, she stepped away from the course for an indefinite period of time. Despite only competing in seven events throughout the year, she took home some money from the LPGA Tour. Let us find out how much the golfer earned this season!

The eldest Korda started her 2023 season on the LPGA by competing in the HSBC Women’s World Championship. After four rounds, he finished in the 66th position on the leaderboard and took home $4,078 out of the 1.8 million prize purse. After this, she participated in the Drive-On Championship, where she sadly couldn’t make the cut. Things got better for her at the DIO Implant LA Open, hosted at the end of March.

There, she fought hard and ended at the T18. She won $19,438 from the $1.75 million purse. Her next and last successful attempt of the year came after that in April when she played in the Chevron Championship. After four intense rounds, she bagged a total of $38,933 out of the $5.1 million purse.

After this, Korda tried her luck at the JM Eagle LA Championship and Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, but unfortunately couldn’t make the cut. Then, in August, she voluntarily stepped back from the game owing to her pregnancy. On the LPGA, Korda currently ranks 149, with her total earnings for 2023 coming down to $62,449.

Korda’s earnings from the tour took a major hit this year. Back in 2022, she earned $976,487, which is significantly more than what she earned in 2023. However, money is a secondary factor for Korda, who plays the game for the sheer thrill of it. This is why, despite her pregnancy, she is engaged in other LPGA events in a different capacity.
