The 2023 U.S. Women’s Open took a toll on its players. The grand experience can also bring cosmic disappointment sometimes, and the resentment is even more when you have a lot of experience but your expertise still failed to keep you in the game. Despite being exceptional in the game and having a world ranking of 12, Danielle Kang couldn’t hold her star status in this year’s U.S. Women’s Open. Last Friday, the American golfer was one of the big names who couldn’t make the cut at the event and headed back home early from Pebble Beach.
The former major champion couldn’t process this loss properly and was frustrated with the situation. Thus, everything riled up and resulted in a social media outburst!

The historic event at Pebble Beach was full of unexpected events. It had several twists and turns which were subject to people’s wonder. One such incident was Kang losing her game early this year and failing to make the cut for the much-awaited final day. A dull performance, accompanied by the double bogey on the par-5 second hole, landed her in missing the cut.
Now, this unforeseen episode resulted in bitterness which came out in the form of a social media post, basically an Instagram story where she posted pictures of a friend, named George Cecil and put a caption calling out 11.98B worth American Airlines, for delaying her flight.
Regardless of the seriousness of her mood, she wrote the captions in a very funny and light-hearted way, “LGA-MRY CANCELLED…JUST TO WATCH ME PLAY AND I MC. WE AT LEAST GOT DINNER. @americanair PLEASE STOP DELAYING AND CANCELLING @ghvcecil‘S FLIGHTS. HE’S BEEN REALLY STRUGGLING. HE’S SO BUSY AND IS REALLY TIRED. THANK YOU sincerely, DK ”.
In the next picture, she also added, “I REALLY CAN’T LISTEN TO HIS PROBLEMS ANYMORE. @apple PLEASE ALSO SEND HIM AN IPAD. THANK YOU”.
