As we all know, family plays a huge role in our lives and in shaping our careers. The Swedish LPGA professional golfer Linn has golf in her blood. Her grandfather, James Grant, was a Scottish Golf Professional and had his fair share of success in his time on the course. Her father, John Grant, has also played golf on the Scottish Golf Tour. Needless to say, Linn followed in the footsteps of her grandfather and father.
Although Grant’s grandfather emigrated from Scotland to Sweden decades ago, she still cherishes her Scottish connection. Hence, coming back to the greens of Scotland for the ongoing current event is a huge source of satisfaction and pride in itself for her. She won’t mind if people approach her on the course and tell her about her family roots. “Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, anyone who knew anything about anyone in my family, I’m grateful to hear.”
Talking about her excellent showing, having made the cut, she said: “It’s fun. I mean, especially since I missed the cut last year, my goal was to make it into the weekend. And it’s hard coming off of a normal couple weeks and then coming here straightaway. So my goal was really to be in it on the first day and know what I was getting myself into.”
