In a mere few hours, the female golf world will be engrossed in the biggest ”Battle of Andalucia”. Yes, the biennial event, the Solheim Cup, is now here, and the 12 players from each side are ready to join hands for the patriotic dream. Among the stars is the English star Charley Hull, who is all set to bring the cup back home once more, and she is undoubtedly being backed by the whole of England.
However, her fans are not without their woes. Ahead of the international face-off, her loyal British fans, who are bound to be glued to their TVs, face one big issue thanks to a multi-billion-dollar corporation. And shedding light on that is her Ryder Cup counterpart, who recently took to Twitter to trash the giant, as he made it evident that he would not stand anything coming between him and Team Europe!

At the same location where he won the US Amateur in 2013, Matt Fitzpatrick stunned everyone by winning the US Open there in 2022 with a one-shot triumph. Since then, he’s been going strong with his game and was able to impress this year’s European Ryder Cup team captain, Luke Donald.
The English golfer is now a part of the European Ryder Cup squad and will be in Rome next weekend; however, this week too, he’s focusing on his patriotic acts as he supports the European side and his fellow countrymen, Charley Hull and Georgia Hall. However, one thing stands in his way of doing so—SkyTV.
In the UK, the live action of the Solheim Cup will be aired on Sky Sports Golf, and the former US Open winner certainly has a problem with that! The 29-year-old is not at all pleased with Sky TV’s service ahead of the highly anticipated event, and hence took to Twitter to vent his feelings. Explaining his dissatisfaction, he wrote, ”Comfortably the worst customer service I have ever dealt with @skytv”

While the golf pro is trying to root for his side, he’s made it clear that the $349.56 million company stands in the way of that. Surprisingly, however, it seems like he’s not the only one who was frustrated with the giant getting in the way of watching their nation’s dreams come true. Many of the fans, too, agreed with him!
Not a hit network in the eyes of many
Fitzpatrick‘s tweet was soon viral online, and the PGA Tour star soon had the fans rallying behind him, lashing out at SkyTV about their coverage.
One fan stated that the issue must have been massive for the major winner to be venting online.
You know Fitzy has had it when he comes here to complain.

Another fan claimed there was another company’s service far worse than SkyTV’s: Vodafone UK.
clearly you've never had to deal with @VodafoneUK

One fan shared his own experience, claiming how he had to wait to register the complaint, and when the company said it had been resolved, the problem actually hadn’t.
Tell me about it..spent 45 minutes waiting to talk to someone…registered a complaint only to receive an email two days later to say it had been “resolved”. It hadn’t and I never heard from anyone. Companies don’t care.

Yet another fan also concurred with Matt and said the company’s lack of efficiency made him move to a different company.
Couldn’t agree more. When my contract was up I tried to agree a new one. They were so bad I moved to Virgin and got a more complete package for less than half the price. After moving they kept calling to see if they could entice me back. Ridiculous!

For many fans, Sky TV’s golf coverage was much worse than their service.
I bet their customer service isn’t as bad as the golf coverage! 😂

Fitzpatrick’s disappointment can truly be felt since he understands how important it is to show the world that you played for your country, not for yourself. Though Sky TV has responded to Matt’s complaint online, it remains to be seen if he gets better coverage of the Solheim Cup.
