The field at the Memorial Tournament this year is a highly competitive one. In fact, seven of the top ten golfers in the world will be vying for a share of the $20,000,000 prize this year. Among these big names is 20-year-old Tom Kim from South Korea, who is making his debut appearance at the coveted tournament.
The youngster has been playing the sport professionally since the age of 15 and attained full-time status on the PGA Tour with two season-ending victories in 2022. However, as the World No. 21 sets his eyes on a 3rd win, possible injuries threaten to derail his hopes.

In a photo shared by @golfinjuryreport, Kim’s wrist appears taped up, signalling a plausible injury. To add to fans’ worries, the tape was also wrapped around his thumb. The 2022 Wyndham Championship winner had last appeared at Oak Hill, where he failed to make the cut. In fact, out of his last 5 PGA starts, his best finish was at the Zurich Classic, where he, along with fellow South Korean Si Woo Kim, finished at T7.
As for Kim’s off-the-greens activities, he recently appeared at LPGA legend Michelle Wie West’s podcast, Golf, Mostly. As the two golfing stars expounded upon superstitions, one of West’s habits left Kim feeling absolutely dumbfounded.
