Her recent Instagram story indicates that the golf icon will always have memories of the golf course stuck to her. Quite literally. She uploaded a short video flaunting her hand with a new dark-red nail paint, possibly after a manicure. She wrote in the story, “Callused hands be looking good now.”
The story is shot with her being in the driver’s seat of her car and flexing her hands that have worked hard enough with a golf club. The hard work reflects in the bandages on her hand, showcasing the injuries golfers are subjected to.
It is hard to predict if Thompson will perform splendidly in her next LPGA season. Among the major tournaments of 2023, the player could only make the cut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. As per Golf Channel, the missed cuts are concerning because the golfer risks losing a full card. The golf battle does not end when the season ends. For female golfers, it extends to the CME Globe.

Lexi has often been in the news for her workout videos, adorable looks, and splendid nails. She knows what form of self-care works for her, so she sticks with it. After all, every player needs some time off to have a relaxing time. Do you think this break will help her jump back into the game?

Where can this slump lead to?
Slumps are common in any field, and that stands true for Golf as well. Professionals like Justin Thomas missed the FedEx Cup playoffs by a fluke this year. Perhaps that’s why Lexi Thompson is not taking the rough patch seriously. It may be a phase. And it is probably her positivity that, despite the slump, Solheim Cup is still in the cards for the player, per Golf Channel. However, given the CME Group tour championship, her LPGA status is in danger.
While only 60 players make it to CME Globe, the 80 players in line have a full card. And Lexi standing at 157th rank is in a challenging space. However, when speaking about it to Golf Digest, she asked fans not to read too much into that. The players have expressed that she is enjoying her life and taking some time for herself.
