The Amundi Evian Championship hosted by the Ladies European Tour is one of the much-awaited Major Tournaments of the year. The event that was established in 1994 did not achieve Major status till 2013. The Evian Resort Golf Club hosting the event propagated the name of the tournament that year.

Since the LPGA Tour recognized it as a Major event, the championship has been held in France. Amundi being the recent sponsor for the Championship encouraged the use of the moniker of the Amundi Evian Championship since 2021. But among the amazing golfers playing, fans are eager to know if Celine Boutier who hails from La France, will be participating in the 4th of the 5 major tournaments this season.

132 female golfers from around the world are lined up for the Amundi Evian Championship in 2023, The 72-hole gameplay will take effect in 4 rounds. After round 2, only the golfers holding the top 65 ranks, including those who tie for 65 and above will make it to the two remaining final rounds.

The selection process for the championship includes some of the top winners and rank holders. With 4.3 on the Rolex rank, Celine Boutier has qualified to partake in the Amundi Evian Championship. She is among the top 50 Rolex rankers to earn a position in the prestigious event.

The French pro golfer will be in her home country as she takes on the challenges of the Evian Resort Golf Club. Her huge fan following cannot wait to see the dame of France in action, and also if she will promote any local brands at the major tournament this week. She loves life, she loves golf, and now she gets to conquer it all on her home base.

The golfer finished a spectacular round at the DOW Great Lakes Bay Invitational, earning her rank in the top 3 with teammate Yuka Saso. Their 20-under 260 was three strokes short of the winning title but it certainly motivated them for the Major tournament at Evian.

Which other golfers are set to play at the Amundi Evian Championship 2023?

The 4th of the 5 major championships this year will witness some of the highly-ranked golfers on the renowned golf course. The former Amundi Evian Champion, Angela Stanford will be in the event, of course. She will be accompanied by three of the Top 10 rankers from last year. Aside from the former champion and the almost-champions, the top 50 Rolex rankers including Nelly Korda, Celine Boutier, Rose Zhang, and others will be seen at the event.

Six major winners from the past 5 seasons will also be partaking at the Evian Resort Golf Club along with five LPGA Tournament winners including Gaby Lopez, Grace Kim, and Paula Reto. Twelve LET Order of Merit players and 48 golfers with CME Globe points which include Bailey Tardy, Stephanie Meadow, Emma Talley, and Georgia Hall’s girlfriend Ryann O’Toole will also join in.

There are also 4 spots for Amateur golfers who earned an exemption and six invitees who will partake in the nail-biting championship in France.
