“I love being a part of team TaylorMade.” – says a grinning Brooke Henderson when asked about the new set of clubs she would be sporting in the upcoming LPGA Tour event. Even back in 2023, the golfer was all praise for the sports equipment brand after winning the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. And now, she would be hoping to defend the title using her special set of tools.

But, there’s a catch, this time around. The Canadian pro wouldn’t be using the old clubs that helped her emerge victorious in the 2023 event. Even so, Henderson would be looking to combine her skills with the right kind of tools that she has chosen for herself at the first event on the 2024 LPGA calendar.

When asked about the new tools during the press conference, she mentioned how her “game is in a pretty good spot right now,” while sounding extremely optimistic. Moreover, the defending champ also divulged how “it was really easy, quick change,” while alluding to the new “stuff” that her partner “came out with.” 

The professional turned to the TaylorMade Qi10 for her driver, costing $599.99. She had changed it from the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus driver which was lofted at 9° and attached to the TPT 19 HI shaft. The new club has been engineered in such a manner that it would enable the golfer to optimize the distance of the ball they are hitting while enhancing forgiveness.

The 2X major champ’s choice of fairway woods, back in 2023, had fallen on TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus at 15° and 18° and coupled with the TPT 19 HI shaft. Meanwhile, her choice of hybrids fell on the TaylorMade Stealth 2 which was combined with a KBS Proto 65 S shaft. However, enter 2024 a new Henderson. She has now turned to the TaylorMade Qi10 Tour Fairway, at $449.99, and offering better versatile flight options, for her f-woods while choosing TaylorMade Qi10 Tour Rescue over her old hybrids at $299.99. They are coupled with the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Limited Blue FW and HY shafts respectively.

The 2022 Evian Championship winner is now in favor of using the TaylorMade P7MC for her 3-irons down to her pitching wedges. The set of clubs is attached to the KBS Tour Steel shaft and costs a whopping $1,299.99. Previously, she was using the TaylorMade P790 irons with the Nippon Modus3 105 S shaft. Seems the athlete is well set on upgrading her tools, this time around.

What wedges and putters does Henderson use?

The 26-year-old used to depend on the Milled Grind 3 (50°-SB, 54°-SB, 60°-SB) for her wedges. However, she has now turned to the next model instead of the old one coupled with the Nippon Modus3 105 S shaft. The TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 Wedge that the pro has now turned to, at $179.99, has a better raw face which provides a superior spin while giving better gameplay around the greens

Turning to her putters, the Canadian professional now uses the TaylorMade Spider Tour V costing $349.99 instead of the Spider GT Center Shaft putter. The upgraded equipment boasts a streamlined construction enabling better control to hole her TP5x Golf Balls.

With just one more day to kick off the tourney, Brooke Henderson would be hoping to replicate her win from back in 2023 using the newer, better set of tools. Well, with the choice that she has turned to, the fans are in for an amazing display of golf by the athlete.
