Annika Sorenstam reminds us of the cool moms we see in movies, with her enthusiasm and swag at her age. The OG from the female golf scene is rocking it after she came out of retirement. After finishing second in the US Senior Women’s Open, the queen is now headed toward Korea for a tournament.

As soon as she announced her trip on social media, fans have been cheering her up and rooting for her. Encouraged by all the love, she posted another video recently from her hotel room, and this one brought comparisons with the KPOP girl band BlackPink. What is happening in the comment section?

Annika Sorenstam recently uploaded a video to her Instagram from her hotel room in Korea. She had captioned it “The less wrinkles the better!” Getting ready for the BMW Ladies Championship, Annika Sorenstam got off to find an iron to straighten out her shirts.

Unable to find one, she checked out the mini-fridge sort of appliance on the wall. Luckily for her, it turned out to be a steamer. She struggled a bit to find directions for usage, since a lot of the instructions were in Korean.

Somehow, she got her two shirts steamed out from it. She had a black shirt and a white jacket picked out. The video started off with a pop song and cut to Sorenstam’s stylish walk with her complete outfit.

Sorenstam was sporting a purple pair of pants with the black shirt tucked inside the suave white jacket. The way she handled her jacket and her walk reminded us of her glory in its full essence. The fans went gaga over her swag and enthusiasm.

The comment section overflowed with the fans’ expressions of their love for her, which took surprising turns.

Sorenstam kicked off a fun banter from Korea

The comments were about many things. They covered her clothes, her walk, the steamer from her room, and of course, someone mentioned BlackPink out of nowhere. Some comments were in Swedish too. But, well, as some YouTubers say, ‘Without further ado, let’s get into the reaction(s)’.

Of course, we are starting with the Black Pink comment. We are not sure if the singers from the band are popular for their walk, but they probably are. Otherwise, this comment wouldn’t make any sense.

“BlackPink will lose to that final walk, at this rate!”

Probably a fashion enthusiast this commenter must be. Curiously, they ask about the pants. The purple pants looked stunning with the black and white shirt combination, for sure.

“Looking awesome!! What brand of pants are those purple babies? They look great!!”

This kind of commenter sort of answered the previous comment, but not quite. While they asked about the brand, this individual mentioned the type of pants she was wearing. But then, this wasn’t really a reply to that, though.

“Roxette is perfect for the walk!”

Sounds like a Korean fan traveling to the United States. Also, it appears that such steamers are common in Korea. Why doesn’t America have these lifesavers, though?

“Going cross country for a high school reunion. Wish we had those steamers in America. Safe travels, Annika.”

This Swedish comment apparently means that “it went well.” Maybe it’s a way of saying that “the walk” went well.

“Det gick ju fint Annika”

There was another comment in Swedish and it apparently means “what a thing.” That actually sounds like a cool compliment. Sounds fresh and elegant, doesn’t it?

“Vilken grej!”

Well, Annika Sorenstam isn’t merely popular for her style, though. She can dominate it at the course and she will probably finish the tournament with flying colors this time around, too. We’ll see how this weekend goes.
