Lexi Thompson spoke about how she spent the four-week stretch since the Shriners. She said she focused on “zoning in on those few key thoughts that I was working on and nothing else.” There were a few things that needed improvement according to her and she just dialed in on what she was already working on. “I needed to mentally reset as well,” she added.

Then she responded to a question that addressed the impact of the Solheim Cup and Shriners on her confidence. The opportunity to play aggressive golf helped her a lot, it seems. She confessed it was a lot of pressure to play for one’s country. Further, being able to pull off shots under that pressure did a lot for her confidence.

Lexi Thompson mentioned that at the Shriners she got to rip the driver everywhere. It tested her ball-striking abilities. She claimed to have enjoyed every bit, particularly the time spent with the kids. According to her, it did more for her mentally than anything else.
