Megan Khang recently bagged her first PGA Tour win at the CPKC Women’s Open a few days back. The 25-year-old made it to the playoff and eventually ended up winning the title. Amid the celebrations and wide reception from fans, Khang also experienced an emotionally heavy moment.

Nelly Korda mentioned Khang in a press conference after the first round of the ongoing Portland Classic tournament. The question she received focused on the celebrations following Khang’s victory. Korda narrated the whole incident and explained how one thing led to another and her victorious friend ended up crying in the end.

The post-round conversation, after discussing her game, arrived at Megan Khang in its due course. Nelly Korda spoke about how Khang had been there during Korda’s wins. She mentioned how she could not meet Khang at the 18th green when she officially won the CP Women’s Open.

Korda described how Khang had been with her during many of her wins and she felt bad for not meeting her on the 18th. She also explained how Khang was upset by another incident on the same day. “Well, it was her first win and I knew that she was driving down. She missed the Drake concert.”

Then she explained what she did to make the situation better. Korda was living with Khang during the week around the CPKC Women’s Open. She planned for a surprise. “I really wanted to make sure that she came home to a couple [of] balloons, nice flowers from her boyfriend, and I just wanted to make her feel special.”

When Megan Khang and Nelly Korda were at a coffee shop recently, the CPKC Women’s Open was still in progress. Ongoing competitions do not seem to discourage the two from hanging out together and chilling.

Often, Jessica Korda, Nelly Korda’s sister, would join the two on their trips to coffee places. Khang is a self-documented coffee lover, and the Kordas apparently love to join her coffee hunts. Their coffee-shop trips have been a thing since 2020 and they are occasionally joined by their fellow golfers Patty Tavatanakit and Alison Lee.

Korda had once mentioned how she loves Australian-owned coffee establishments, especially family-owned, and loves flat whites. Khang has a thing for iced drinks. You can find memories of their coffee trips on Khang’s Instagram highlights.
