Earlier in the morning, with the advent of the second day of the Solheim Cup, concern about delays in the play continued to loom over the heads of the authorities. However, this speculation turned into an unfortunate reality once Golf Week reporter Beth Ann Nichols uploaded a picture from the live scenes.
Highlighting the “not good” situation, the picture displayed water coming onto the course from the ground. The unexpected occurrence caused a fear of yet another time-consumption problem for the game. However, in the next moment itself, the issue was resolved with a prominent figure present to save the day.

It was the husband of Suzann Pettersen, the captain of the European side, who came to the rescue at the right time. Quoting the journalist who mentioned how there was nothing to worry about anymore, she explained how the golfer’s partner had come forward to stop the water from reaching the playing course.

The help from the hero in the picture allowed the game to go ahead at the scheduled time, along with stopping any major inconvenience to the golfers. While the incident mentioned caused worry for the authorities, even the first day of the event saw a delay in the gameplay, causing the golf world to recall old concerns.
Another hindrance that met the incredible game on the Spanish greens
The game at the Solheim Cup yesterday also got delayed in a similar fashion, though the culprit was different. The slow pace of the game on the first day of the tournament did not have a clear source for the problem. Nonetheless, the delay in the game brought a similar kind of annoyance to the spectators as today.
