Without any doubt, the 26-year-old Jennifer Kupcho is an exceptional golfer. While this year hasn’t been going her way, the 2022 season evidently portrays the caliber the golfer holds. At the age of 25, she clinched a powerful victory over Jessica Korda at 14-under-par at the Chevron Championship. This victory allowed the golfer to further expand her horizons as she gathered another victory at the 2022 Meijer LPGA Classic.
However, the 2023 season hasn’t been ideal for golfers. Indisputably, Kupcho gave Rose Zhang a tough fight at the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open, but alas, she fell short of claiming that triumph in the playoff. On the one hand, the athlete has been able to gather satisfactory results in LPGA Tour events. On the other hand, the American golfer has miserably struggled in major tournaments.
Unlike last year, the 2023 cycle of major championships has, till now, not witnessed Jennifer Kupcho making a cut, the latest being at the 2023 US Women’s Open. This puts the professional in a difficult and challenging position. Despite such results, the fan favorite has successfully registered her name for the 2023 Amundi Evian Championship.

The Amundi Evian Championship is co-sanctioned by the LET and the LPGA Tour. This prominent major tournament for women’s golf hosts a 132-player field, including the defending champion, Brooke Henderson. Last year, she claimed her victory over Sophia Schubert, who is also playing at the 2023 Amundi Evian Championship.
Both amateur and professional golfers get a chance to showcase their potential on European soil. Currently, the event boasts a colossal purse of $6.5 million, with the winner’s payout being nearly $1 million. This is the same amount as last year. However, it is stunning progress in women’s golf, given how just two years ago it was 2 million dollars less.
