Although she scored five birdies in the first round, the two bogeys she sustained brought her score to a 3-under. The two-bogeys trend repeated in the second round, with four birdies, resulting in a score of 2-under. And guess what, the curse of the two bogeys continued in the third round as well, besides three birdies, and Ko scored a 1-under in that round.

The final round relieved her of the trend, and she scored four birdies and a bogey, getting a 3-under on board. With a total score of 9-under, she finished in the first position sharing it with Megan Khang.

In the playoff, on a 4-par hole, Ko scored a double bogey against the par that Khang scored. Khang rose up to the number 1 position leaving Ko behind at number two.
