Ever since she appeared on the radar of the golfing community, Rose Zhang has not ceased to deliver surprises. Not for nothing is she often compared to the legendary PGA GOAT Tiger Woods. Her intense competitiveness coupled with her abilities on the greens has quickly made her a fan favorite.
She has been on the LPGA Tour’s circuit long before she turned pro back in May 2023, and instantly claimed her maiden title at the Mizuho Americas Open. Last year, at Muirfield, Zhang claimed the 28th spot at the 2022 AIG Women’s Open, making her a shoo-in for this year’s 5th Major Tournament. The top 30 from the event last year also qualified for the event this year as per the AIG Women’s Open Field.
The former World Amateur Golf Ranker is also among the top 120 in the LPGA Race to CME Globe Season. Therefore, Rose Zhang is definitely qualified to play at the Walton Health Golf Club next week. Since turning pro, the LPGA’s rising star has played at 5 tournaments, and even though she missed the cut at the Dana Open, her performance at the other 4 events has been awe-inducing.
