The US State of Hawaii has been grappling with horrific wildfires; the death toll for which has been as high as 93. Wide spread fires have caused large scale destruction with 675 acres of land burned down.

Goes without saying that each and every aspect of life in the local area has come to a stand still. Among the contributions from different factions of sport to aid out the situation, there are efforts being made by various golf pros, including veteran LPGA pro Michelle Wie West, to help in these turbulent times.

Michelle Wie West lauds the generosity of the LPGA

Wie West has been the flag bearer for the cause of Hawaii in recent days. Her noble acts of charity have not gone unnoticed, rather they’ve been promoted by huge corporations like the LPGA Tour on their story.

The steps taken by Michelle Wie West have had a ripple effect on the others as well. After seeing the various efforts made by her, the LPGA Tour too came forward to help the cause of Hawaii by donating $25,000 to wild fire relief efforts in the effected area.

The LPGA Tour took to Instagram and expressed its willingness to contributing $125,000 to the Friends of Hawaii Charities. This shows a strong dedication in helping those in need during these challenging times.

Earlier Michelle Wie West shared an Instagram post about her recent endeavour to help the people affected by the disaster. She collaborated with a brand called Wove Made to design a beautiful bracelet, the proceeds from which will go towards charity at Hawaii Community Foundation.
