The LPGA Walmart NW Arkansas Championship 2021 is being held at the Pinnacle Country Club. America’s Austin Ernst triumphed over Anna Nordqvist at the tournament’s previous edition, claiming the title in sensational style. Notably, ever since its birth in 2007, the tournament is yet to see a shift of venue.

Like its venue, event sponsors Procter & Gamble (P&G) continue to extend its support to the championship, since 2008. Although tagged along initially, the ‘Beauty’ of P&G Beauty was dropped in 2010. Notably, Walmart joined the sponsor team in 2011, alongside P&G.
Don Sechrest, who has worked with Bruce Lietzke, originally designed the course. However, it underwent redesigning in 2009 by Randy Heckenkemper.
Lesser known fact, the tournament was also called the Champions Club back in the 90s.

Stacy Lewis, a 12-time LPGA winner, also spoke up about the same. She added that men’s and women’s golf has always had a gap, which many have been looking to eliminate. She said, “With the support of partners like Walmart and P&G, we can continue to narrow the pay gap and showcase the importance of equality within the sport.”
