In the latest episode of Spiranac’s podcast, titled ‘A Mixed Bag,’ she shared an intriguing anecdote surrounding the winner of the 2023 Evian Championship. It turns out that both players had a connection from their time at Duke, with Boutier transitioning into a professional career while participating in her first or second event. Meanwhile, the former professional golfer was in her second year competing in the Cactus Torian.

“But Celine could not hit the driver to save her life.” Spiranac expressed. She further talked about Boutier’s challenging round where she lost ten golf balls and shot in the high 80s. In contrast, the golf diva performed well with a low 70s score. However, times have changed now, and the French Professional golfer’s dedication has paid off as she won the Evian Trophy, while the social media influencer is no longer playing golf.

According to Spiranac, the game of golf may be unpredictable unless you’re Tiger Woods, who is considered to be the greatest of all time. “And I say this because golf is so up and down.” She further added, “I mean, it can change from one day to the next day.” This was about Boutier not being able to hit the driver to finally become the champion at Evian.
