Yes, you heard it right. There have been not one but multiple changes that have surfaced regarding the event scheduled for April. Firstly, the women’s professional golf Tour’s purse increased to a whopping $2 million. And now it was revealed that women’s professional golf will also feature 96 players playing over 3 days in the form of stroke play.

The event will feature a cut after the 36th hole and only players playing in the top 65, including ties, will proceed ahead. The highly competitive event’s top few, precisely 8 players, will not just earn some of the biggest pieces of the $2 million cake but will also advance to weekend match play.

The T-Mobile Match Play tournament, which is presented by MGM Rewards, has improved its prize purse by a whopping 30%. Moreover, the event scheduled for April 3–7 at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas will also feature a mix of match play and stroke play, which is a historic first for the LPGA Tour. But what does the golf fraternity think of this move?
