The golf world has been blessed with news regarding new life in the personal lives of golfers lately. This has especially been the case with Nelly Korda‘s sister, Jessica Korda, who announced her pregnancy a while back, leading to a break from the game. But even as she takes a break from golf, she has made her presence known on the internet as the soon-to-be mother extends her hand in support of a just cause.

The elder Korda sister took time out of her well-needed break to address an issue as she joined hands with a PGA Tour pro. Her recent Instagram update came as a surprise to her fans and followers, as she embraced her motherly feelings, leaving many touched and in awe.

Jessica Korda spreads awareness for Pediatric Cancer Month

Being a parent can invoke a sense of love and affection towards the aspect of rearing a child. And in cases where they lose their baby, it becomes an unbearable feeling that many won’t be able to climb out of. But PGA Tour pro Camilo Villegas and his wife have come out strong despite the passing of their daughter, Mia, in 2020. Moreover, Jessica Korda was seen in support of the golfer as she took to social media to share news regarding their campaign.

The LPGA Tour pro made use of her Instagram stories to share a video that Villegas and his wife Mariam shared about their foundation, known as Mias Miracles. The couple had started the same thing in honor of the life of their daughter, who passed away from brain and spinal cancer. The program aims to provide “small blessings with large impacts, bringing smiles and positivity to children and families facing challenging circumstances”.

The duo pointed out how the month of September is special since it is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month along with their angel’s birthday in the heart-touching video. They continued to talk about how their little Mia would have been five years old on the 26th of September had she been alive. The golfer went ahead to mention how the foundation would be conducting the Month of Miracles campaign to raise awareness about the deadly illness in lieu of the special occasion.

All the money raised would go to programs that support pediatric cancer. And Jessica Korda showcased her support for the campaign as she shared the video of Villegas inviting people to donate to the fundraiser as part of the same. The emotional video that was shared by the LPGA golfer is a testament to the newfound feelings of affection one can have for their baby.

Jessica Korda shares her pregnancy news

The six-time LPGA Tour champ made her news public through a series of Instagram pictures that she uploaded a while back. The 30-year-old golfer posted images of her poodle dog sitting next to a board that hinted at the pregnancy announcement, with a pair of baby shoes near it. The writing on the board made it known to her followers that the baby is due in February 2024.

As Korda depicted her excitement about becoming a mother, she did not forget the other children who are in need of help as she shared the video as her story on Instagram in hopes of letting it reach more people. Well, one thing is for sure: the LPGA star will, no doubt, be a loving mom to her soon-to-be-born baby.
