The inaugural Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix on Saturday, November 18, is expected to be attended by celebrities from different walks of life. An LPGA legend, however, has expressed the fear of missing out (FOMO) on the event. But Michelle Wie West has embraced comic relief to overcome her disappointment.

West spoke about her “fear” via an Instagram story. However, she saw the funny side of it and made peace with the fact she has a “Shoey Bar” at home. West is a self-confessed fan of Lance Bass’ music. As is now evident, she is a Formula One aficionado as well.

Having fomo about not being at the F1 in Vegas, but at least I have my own Shoey Bar at home!West wrote in her Instagram story, adding a laughing emoji. MGM Resorts has introduced the Shoey Bar at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

It would be one of the highlights at the event, where guests can have cocktails of their choice, served in an MGM-branded driving shoe. The idea ostensibly has come from Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo pouring the victory champagne into a driving shoe on the podium and drinking it right out of the shoe.

However, the drinking style at the Shoey Bar in the Bellagio would be more conventional, but this is one of the added attractions at the event. “Your drink of choice is about to get a lot more interesting,” MGM Rewards had posted on its X handle ahead of the Grand Prix. No wonder that West, too, was seen carrying an MGM-branded shoe in her post.
