Although it’s been years since her dominance, Annika Sorenstam is still one of the most popular entities on the LPGA circuit. A few days ago, this golf legend even became a part of the Augusta National Golf Club. She not only contributed to the game of golf but also to society by performing philanthropic activities she was associated with.
She has her Annika Foundation Relief Fund, which is a charitable organization in her name. And now to add to that, the golf great has joined hands with another legend, Jack Nicklaus and others for yet another philanthropic venture!

The golf goddess Annika Sorenstam has become the latest member of the Augusta National Golf Club, as announced by the chairman, Fred Ridley. The club, which was censured for excluding women participants in the membership roster, has been more open since 2012.
This year, the LPGA legend is a new inclusion. Now, days after that, she has taken an interest in another benevolent cause. She joined hands with Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, and others to show up for a cancer research funding program.
To thank her specifically, MD Sanjay Juneja has written a post. In the post, he wrote, “@ernieelsgolf told me to post this on insta to tell his buddy David Toms i’m officially his biggest LSU friend.. bc I have it tatted it on the inside of arm. many thanks to Ernie, @jacknicklaus , @lukedonald and @annikas59 for showing up for cancer research and funding hosted by @integraconnectems at @pganational – and my friend and mentor @dougfloramd for making it happen!”
