With the penultimate event of the LPGA Tour awaiting its fourth round, the Rolex points table is getting some attention from golf fans. We see many speculations and theories about who is going to be the Rolex Player of the Year in 2023. However, only the results from the ongoing ANNIKA event and the upcoming CME Tour Championship can tell us the final verdict of this Rolex challenge.

The previous year’s award winner, who also won a few more awards last year, is Lydia Ko. However, Ko is currently struggling to find her place in the top 60 as of now and is no threat to the title contenders. Which brings us to the topic of discussion. Who is most likely to win the Rolex Player of the Year 2023 award?

Although the contest is mostly between the top two players on the list, with the results of two events yet to be known, the award is still a fair game. Here is a list of the five players who are currently leading the table.

5. Hyo Joo Kim

Hyo Joo Kim currently holds 97 points and stands in the fifth position in the Rolex points table. She is not playing the ANNIKA event at the Pelican and only has one event left if she plays the CME Tour Championship.

4. Allisen Corpuz

At number 4, there is Allisen Corpuz with 105 points on the table. She is currently in a shared 41st position on the ANNIKA leaderboard. It would be a near-impossible task for her to reach the top 3 positions in the event, but then she could definitely grab some points with a top-10 finish. And perhaps top it up with some points from the CME event.

3. Ruoning Yin

With 133 points on the table, Ruoning Yin stands a real chance at grabbing the Rolex award this year. With a title win and a top-10 finish in the final two events, she can reach the top two players in the contest. She currently holds a T9 position in the ongoing tournament with an 11-under score.

2. Lilia Vu

Pushed down to number 2 recently, Lilia Vu holds 166 points in the Rolex standings. She currently holds a shared second position at the ongoing ANNIKA event with an impressive 15-under score, trailing behind the leader of the board by 3 strokes.

Lilia Vu had captured the number one position after jumping over Nelly Korda. And after her recent Maybank win, Celine Boutier went ahead of Vu. Should Vu win the current event, that would give her a massive lead over the current number-one player at the Rolex contest.

1. Celine Boutier

Topping the Rolex standings with 169 points is Celine Boutier. The Frenchwoman leaped over Lilia Vu with her recent title win at the Maybank tournament and captured the number one spot. She holds a three-point lead over Vu as of now.

Ruoning Yin needs to win the title at Pelican to stand a real chance at competing with Vu and Boutier, and it’s not an impossible feat. The final round of the ANNIKA, driven by Gainbridge at the Pelican, is going to play a crucial role in determining the odds of these contenders at the CME. It’s going to be an interesting contest to follow!
