Give Mike McGee the Best Husband Award already. Annika Sorenstam fans certainly know who he is. The Swedish star and McGee got engaged in 2007, a year before she hung up her boots. Two years later they tied the knot. And now, after 14 years of being married, McGee has once again taken to social media to profess his eternal love for the 53-year-old golfer.

McGee and Sorenstam have a daughter, Ava McGee, and a son, Will McGee. Last year, the Hall of Famer debuted at the PNC Championship with her son by her side and her daughter following them from the gallery. Interestingly, while the duo is gearing up for their return to the Ritz Carlton Golf Club, it’s Mike McGee who has stolen the limelight with his adorable gesture.

The video showed the perpetual love between an old man and his wife. In the heartfelt clip, an old man, presumably in his 90s, is seen taking care of his wife inside a hospital. Sharing the clip on his Instagram story, Mick McCgee wrote, “No matter how old we get, this will be us sweetie @annikas59” adding a loving heart emoji.

The Swedish golfer married Mike McGee in January 2009, a month after she announced her retirement. McGee, the son of former PGA Tour pro Jerry McGee, has been the managing director of ANNIKA, the business venture of the 72-time LPGA Tour winner.

Since her retirement in 2008, the duo has been involved in various philanthropic and charitable activities through their business venture. The 10-time Major winner hosted a charity golf fundraiser for East Palestine, the hometown of her husband, earlier.

Sorenstam, however, came back from her retirement in 2021. Playing golf with her son during the COVID-hiatus rekindled her competitive spirit. With her son’s knack for the game she excelled in, the Hall of Famer made her maiden appearance at the PNC Championship last year, where they finished in the 17th position at 15 under after the final round. This time, they are practicing hard for a better outcome.

Will McGee is a golf nut, as his mother describes him. In fact, the teenager was the driving force behind Sorenstam’s PNC debut. The young kid last year teed off with his mom against Team Woods, which also allowed him to shake hands with his icon. Mike McGee, who caddied for his son, shared a clip of his meeting with Tiger Woods on X (formerly Twitter).

At the age of 11, McGee became the youngest player in the 25 years of tournament history. As of now, the teenager competes at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships. He will once again accompany Annika Sorenstam at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club on December 14.
