In December 2020, JT sat down with Golf.com, and of course, the golf legend was mentioned. Thomas got on to describe his favorite thing about Woods. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the time they had spent on the course together or even his long list of accomplishments. In fact, it had nothing to do with the sport at all.

The best thing JT liked about the 82-time PGA Tour winner was that he was a father. “Probably the coolest thing for me is seeing him spend time with Charlie, just seeing how much he loves being around him [and his Woods’ daughter Sam] on the golf course,” said the 2-time major winner. “He is such a good dad and he loves being around his kids.”

JT stated that it was possible that the public had a different image of Woods. perhaps because of how he was in the media, but he was completely different when it came to his children. Explaining further that Woods was always in the limelight of the media, he claimed, “A lot of people might give him a bad rap because of how he is to the media or the people.” “But it’s like, he can’t go anywhere.” It was a problem every top player faced, so the former world No. 1 was dealt the hardest blow because he was the greatest.
