Golf requires dedication and hard work throughout the year, which could lead to mental fatigue and distance from personal life. Lexi Thompson, recently retired, cited a similar issue and prioritized her personal life. However, another American professional golfer has shared a similar feat before her but is now showing signs of her way back to the course.

Michelle Wie West, who began to shine in golf at 15, is a prominent name for her achievements. West is a five-time LPGA Tour winner, including the 2014 US Women’s Open winner. Additionally, she has also won the Rolex ANNIKA Major awards in 2014 and has been a member of the U.S. Solheim Cup team five times.

With such outstanding achievement, fans expect her to continue the feat and become the top golfer. However, injuries and motherhood have forced her to retire early in 2023. While retiring from the sport, she expressed her love for the sport as she wrote, “I still love the game of golf but I really think I made the right decision and it’s just amazing being a mom.”

But she prioritized her personal life, as Wie stated, “I’m really glad I got that experience. But honestly, being home with my daughter more — it’s priceless.” Juggling the two jobs of professional and personal life, she chooses to continue with motherhood. The 5-time LPGA Tour winner played the last event at the 2023 US Open at Pebble Beach.

Two years later, she is seen again at the same course in the video shared on Instagram. She posted a video of hitting a tee shot with the caption reading, “So nice to be back @pebblebeachresorts.” Even though it has been two years since she was featured as a professional, fans are still awestruck with her swing shared in the video.

Get back on the tour ❤️.” Even another wrote, “Such an effortless smooth golf swing.” The effortless smooth swing has been her forte as she was one golfer who could easily cross the 300-yard mark. Now with the swing tease on Instagram, fans expect her to return.

Another netizen joined in, “It was the perfect day to be at The Hay! ⛳️.” In the video, Wie West was seen at the Pebble Beach course which hosted the recent AT&T Pebble Beach. However, when the tournament tee-ed off, the weather became uncertain, comparably the video showcased an ideal weather for golfing which even fans praised.

Following more fans joined writing, “Great to see you back Michelle ⛳️⛳️,” and “Is this a sign of a return to the LPGA?” While it is still unsure if she will return to the course, her swing still has the elegance she used to carry during the tournaments.
