“It’s a [Diamana] Whiteboard that they used to make,” Fowler said. “I played the White Board in high school and in college, so they had some blanks still left that were never painted like normal.”
It is common for players to use new prototype shafts on the PGA Tour. And therefore Fowler using an “unseen” shaft was not such a big surprise. The one that Fowler has been using is the Cobra King F9 driver with a Mitsubishi Diamana White Board 73X shaft. According to sources, the golfer used to play with the same model back in his college days.
Rickie Fowler dropped some knowledge on his blank driver shaft. It’s actually not a prototype.

Fowler called out the PGA Tour for the way they handled LIV Golf issues
Despite being nowhere in the top 100 players on the tour, Rickie Fowler’s opinions are still considered important by the officials. Although he has been completely against the LIV Golf league, he also spoke up against PGA Tour commissioner, Jay Monahan. Fans assumed that the PGA Tour pro will soon join the new Saudi-backed league. However, all those rumors faded when he accompanied Tiger Woods in his private jet to attend the BMW PGA Championship meeting.

Talking about the PGA Tour’s way of handling the LIV Golf issues, Fowler said, “I’ve told the Tour and Jay when I’ve met with them that I don’t think they have handled it very well at all,”. According to the golfer, the PGA Tour needed to be proactive since the day they saw the LIV Golf threat coming their way. And looking at the tour taking matters lightly since day one, Fowler’s statements are hard to argue with.
