Professional golfers aspiring to play in LIV Golf often are on the lookout for fast growth. The lucrative contracts, comfortable schedules, and numerous benefits offered by the Saudi-based promotion seem quite appealing to them. That makes it easy for them to forget that the remaining community has isolated them from golf. But that does not stop some players from getting into a contract with LIV Golf, nonetheless.
One such player who has been on the constant lookout for a big upgrade is Ollie Schniederjans. The three-time NCAA All-American managed to beat the captain of Crushers GC; Bryson DeChambeau and other top golfers in Asia to win the International Series India a few hours ago. But during the post-round interview, he seemed a lot less enthusiastic than he should have been.
As reported by EssentiallySports journalist, Anjana Prabhakaran on their X account, “#InternationalSeries winner Ollie wants to be a part of #LIVGolf team.” The win made him feel worthy now and he’s on the lookout for an offer from LIV Golf. During the post-tournament press conference, Schniederjans stated “I wanna be on a team and I wanna be against the best in the world.” While clarifying his intent to be a part of LIV Golf, he also explained, “I love the team idea. Golf is very lonely as a solo. The team aspect, that makes me really excited.” It is evident that the 29-year-old views golf more as a team sport especially because of LIV Golf’s format.

The former PGA Tour pro might have attracted a lot of attention due to his win this weekend. But only time will tell if it convinced the LIV Golf officials to sign him up for this season, even if it’s as a reserve player in the league.
Ollie Schniederjans certainly deserves a LIV Golf contract considering the manner in which he beat the field. After 4 rounds of enthralling action, the 31-year-old proved that consistency wins over a burst of excellence. DeChambeau recorded the lowest score of the tournament with a 7-under-par 65 to rise up the rankings. However, Schniederjans remained under par in all 4 rounds to win with a 4 stroke deficit against the field after the 72 holes were played.

Ollie Schniederjans has been on the quest to join the big leagues for quite a while now. His 2024 performance shows how determined he has been.
Ollie Schniederjans’s efforts to join Bryson DeChambeau & co. in LIV Golf
Ollie Schniederjans has been performing tremendously well for the past few months. He made 8 cuts in the Korn Ferry Tour which included 1 top-10 finish and 2 more in the top 25. His best performance came at the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club 2024. After 4 rounds of grueling competition, he only finished 4 strokes shy of the top of the leaderboard.

Schniederjans also had a shot at the LIV Golf Promotions event back in December 2024. He ended the tournament at T4, falling short only by a few strokes once again. The winner of the tournament, Max Lee, and 2 other stars earned their place in the LIV Golf 2025 season. However, Schniederjans’s efforts didn’t have as big of an impact on the PIF-funded league’s leaders or team captains to offer him a place this year. Hopefully, with the International Series India win over Bryson DeChambeau, he may have caught the attention.
