The 25-year-old has been catching everybody’s attention in Tour, especially after her Circling Raven Championship win on the Epson Tour last month. However, at the recent LGPA Tour Tournament, Hollis’ caddie won the hearts of the golf world.
LGPA Tour star’s caddie steps in to save her
Jillian Hollis had 15 clubs in her bag ahead of her opening tee shot. However, as per the USGA, pro golfers are only allowed to have 14 clubs in their bags. Hollis starting her Thursday’s round with 15 clubs in the bag would have resulted in her receiving two-stroke penalties. If she had played two holes, another two strokes, though Hollis wouldn’t have been assessed more than that.

Fortunately for her, Luke Brennaman, who is her caddie, happened to count the number of clubs in the bag. After taking a club out, Hollis shot a two-under 70. She managed to make the cut and move to the next round.

Following the heroic save, the LGPA Tour star told her caddie that he saved her a round. However, Hollis was quite delighted when Brennaman was announced to be her caddie before the event. “I’m just super pumped to have Luke,” Hollis told the Enquirer before the tournament. “I just wanted somebody to kind of walk with me and keep me company, and he’s been so nice”.
Luke Brennaman’s family too have devoted their lives to the sports world. Luke’s grandfather, Marty, was a Cincinnati Reds announcer, as was his dad, Thom. As far as Hollis is concerned, she was too happy to even have a caddie this week as the youngster usually carries her own bag.
