After LIVGolf Jeddah last weekend, the stakes were high for this week’s Miami event. Players showcased their best gameplay, with each team giving the other a neck-and-neck competition. While some players were left disappointed after being relegated, some made a fat purse on the fly.

In the end, Bryson DeChambeau‘s Crushers GC won the team championship at Miami, securing the trophy for the team. The team made a total of $14,000,000, but the individual players weren’t the highest earners. The ball was in Talor Gooch’s court as the former PGA player made the biggest individual purse playing in the league. With all that money stacked now, the player can finally cruise on his biggest unsated dream, something he wasn’t able to fulfill while he played for the PGA Tour.

At a press conference after the game, Talor Gooch sat down for a Q&A session with the media. The player answered questions related to his gameplay and the team’s position on the leaderboard. The LIV pro was asked about the money he has made playing on the Saudi-backed League, considering he is the top earner on the League this year, and what the things that he’s planning on doing with the Talor Gooch foundation.

Answering, the player remarked, “It’s a question that I haven’t thought about because I never in my wildest dreams imagined I could make this much money on a golf course.” He further added that the foundation aims to help the partners and organizations that it has built over the years in a bigger way.

The money Gooch made at the LIV Golf has been double the amount the professional pursued during his tenure with PGA. This time around, Gooch made a roaring $20,632,012 (excluding the bonus) from his 13 LIV events, while in the past, the golfer has played 123 starts on the PGA Tour, and his roundabout total earnings stood at $9,250,299.

Talking about the next step in becoming a philanthropist, the swinger said, “…our reach is a lot bigger now, and so it’s going to be a huge focus in this off-season to figure out, you know, now what do we do.”

Who won the 2023 LIV Miami gameplay?

In the 2023 LIV Golf Team Championship, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC emerged as the winners, securing the team trophy, with their players showcasing a good cadence on the greens. Anirban Lahiri’s impressive bogey-free round, coupled with consistent play from Charles Howell III and Paul Casey and a remarkable back-nine performance by captain DeChambeau, propelled Crushers GC to a two-shot victory over Range Goats GC.

Lahiri made an extra mark with his stellar 7-under 65, including hole-outs for birdie and eagle, and this is what set the stage for the team’s triumph. DeChambeau’s big moments included a recovery at the drivable par-4 16th hole, which also backed the Crushers GC to victory.
