Phil Mickelson has been in hot water a lot recently, the credit for which goes to his Phil: The Rip Roaring, an Unauthorised Biography written by Alan Shipnuck, and another book by his past friend Billy Walters, revealing his gambling addictions. The books talk about some of the hidden and controversial aspects of Mickelson’s life.

Having his life displayed ferociously to the golf world, Mickelson was just hours ago hit by yet another accusation from Shipnuck. However, it seems that Lefty is busy with his life so much so that he has decided to ignore the matter and enjoy his time away from the controversial limelight!

Phil Mickelson’s 30-year career has witnessed many ups and downs. The 45-time PGA Tour winner has made headlines throughout the years. And now, the bullet train is passing by faster and more frequently. In recent years, the turning point of a golf pro’s life unraveling began with the reveal of his infamous “scary motherfu**ers” phone call with Alan Shipnuck, and that is exactly what the author now touches upon again in his tweet.

With a rant of calling out Mickleson, just hours ago Shipnuck also revealed photos of emails he had sent to Mickelson, claiming that he himself revealed all that is covered in the book! The writer then accused Mickelson of lying maliciously and asked him to take responsibility for his words. The revelation caught fire online; however, Mickelson seems to be the least bothered by it!

Despite the fact that it has been a few hours since the controversial tweets transpired on X, Mickelson has not only not responded but has also subtly revealed that he is not affected by them even a bit. A very recent Instagram post by the 6x major champion instead shows him focused on family and highlights him playing golf with his father!

Mickelson’s caption draws into the spotlight how great of a day he had while playing golf with his 88-year-old dad and how appreciative he is to be able to do so. Moreover, the LIV star in the video can be heard talking about how much more he learned about the sport from his father.

The video was posted well after the accusations and shows that Lefty is unnerved by his rival’s harsh words for him and is currently least interested in responding to his call-outs. And the fans were quick to catch onto this too!

The golf world loves Mickelson’s casual outing

While comments were filled with a few harsh replies, most congratulated Mickelson on being lucky and getting to play with his father. One admirer wished Mickelson and his dad, saying, “Beautiful! God bless you both! That’s what really matters… love and Family…the rest is BS. Lets gooo”.

As controversy brews, this one fan even made sure to ask Mickelson if he was doing alright. “Hope you’re doing OK.”

Another chimed in and agreed with Mickelson’s gratitude and said, “100%. I’d give pretty much anything to play with my dad again…”

As the video shows at the end, Lefty’s father ball met with a tree, and this supporter made a fun remark, saying, “I bet he made birdies from those tree-like son like father”.

One fan shared a story from 2012 about Lefty and his father’s kindness. He said, “Your pops was so nice when I worked in the booth next to him at 2012 PGA championship. And you were kind enough to sign my hat for me when you swung through before the store opened. Made a 19 year olds day for sure.”

While one fan praised Mickelson for being the “great man he is,” another claimed to have interacted with Mickelson and Dad on the day of the video. Saying he was honored, the fan wrote, “@philmickelson it was an honor being on the same course as you and your Dad today at @sea_n_air_golf_course”
