Brooks Koepka has turned many heads in the golf world through his exquisite gameplay. But, interestingly, there has always been another aspect of the golfer that the community has, more often than not, seemed to rest their eyes on. Enter the golfer with his own sense of unique fashion, accompanied by his wife, Jena Sims.

NUCLR GOLF shared a tweet on its X handle (formerly Twitter), which showcased the 5-time major champ and his wife Jena Sims attending the SI Swimsuit Runway show on Saturday night. His wife, Sims, had joined the iconic magazine as a rookie. Following this, she was invited to attend the launch of their 60th edition which took place at the same time as the 2024 PGA Championship, causing her to miss the latter. Regardless, she was able to participate in the celebrations that took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Fast forward to Saturday, and the influencer was offered the chance to strut the runway for the second time at the 2024 Miami Swim Week and she did so in “colorful suits perfect for Summer.”

The athlete, meanwhile, accompanied his wife to the annual event, which allowed various designers to showcase the newest and hottest trends in swimwear. He did so while sporting a unique choice of clothing that went ahead to earn the ire of many in the community. The followers, as a result, took to the tweet to express their dissatisfaction while mocking the LIV Golf Pro.

Netizens share their thoughts on Brooks Koepka’s ensemble

Koepka was one of the most high-profile signings that LIV Golf managed to bring in 2022 for a reported $100 million. Many in the community had, consequently, dubbed the golfer as a defector while accusing him of choosing money over legacy. The discontentment still seems to be going strong, as a fan took to making fun of the golfer while dishing out comments such as “All that money and he looks like a rhinestone cowboy,” and “Why does brooks always dress like white t***h won the lottery?” The latter of the two responses even went ahead to mock the athlete while alluding to him as a “t***h” who won the lottery (the reported $100 million in signings). Another follower just made fun of his attire while comparing it to furniture: “Why is he wearing my grandmother’s sofa covers?”

A follower also took to bashing his performance and gameplay while issuing a jab at the golfer. He has only missed the cut once during his debut appearance in 2012 at the U.S. Open. The LIV Golf Pro has since won the event two times while finishing inside the top 10 another three times. The follower, however, predicted a missed cut for the pro; “Looks like Brooks continues his descent toward irrelevance when it comes to playing REAL golf. Likely misses the cut at the US Open. What a shame.”

When the athletes entered the PIF-funded circuit, their contracts stated the need for them to always wear the league’s apparel, including its logo. A user on X made fun of this clause by reacting, “Surprised @PIF_en gave Brooks permission to not wear stupid LIV logo stuff.” The players were, interestingly, asked to “wear LIV team apparel in LIV events, non-LIV tournaments, and other events in which they must participate.”

That sure was an intense reaction by the community. What did you think of Brooks Koepka’s sense of clothing? Did you find it along the same lines as the various fans did or did you feel the reaction was unwarranted?
