With the addition of Legion XIII, the changes in format were necessary for the rival league. But according to LIV Golf, they have made changes in almost every aspect of their league, from points to prize money distribution.

The biggest change is that the top 12 teams after the 13th regular season event will be in the running for the top. The team that finishes 13th will only attend the events. Furthermore, there are changes in how the points will be counted.

There will be a total of 54 players on the field, with 13 teams of four players and two wild cards. For each team, the top three scores in the first and second rounds will be counted. However, for the final round, the points of all the team members will be counted.

All these changes were essential due to the addition of the 13th team. However, LIV Golf has also changed the individual point distribution system and the prize money that comes along with it.

For individual players, the points will be added in the same way as usual. However, if two players tie for the same score, there will only be a tiebreaker if there is a chance for a podium finish. The season-long individual standings will remain the same for positions 1–24 in the Lock zone, 25–48 in the Open zone, and 49 and below in the Drop zone.

Furthermore, the points split for the top 24 players will remain the same. The only thing changing will be the prize money distribution due to the addition of six players on the field. The top spot holder will now receive $4,000,000, with the second and third receiving $2,250,000 and $1,500,000, respectively.
