The second season of LIV Golf is underway with a successful event in Mayakoba, Mexico. However, the lucrative Tour is set to have its first tournament of the new season on American soil in Tucson, Arizona. With the prize money being the Tour’s most glittering factor, let’s take a look at how much money is at stake in the second event of the season.
Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC team won the first event of the new season in Mexico, as their player, Charles Howell III won his maiden LIV Golf title. However, the team looks to continue its lead at the top of the table with a win in the upcoming tournament in Arizona.

The event will commence on March 17th and end on 19th March, and will be the second tournament in the 14-event LIV Golf League. It will be held at the Gallery Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona. The course will be familiar to some of the former PGA Tour players as it has hosted WCG Match Play Championships in 2007 and 2008.
Nonetheless, the players will compete for a lot more this weekend as they set their eyes on the $4 million winner’s purse. Like any other LIV Golf event, the tournament will be having a total of $25 million purse. Moreover, an additional $3 million will go to the team that finishes first, $1.5 million to the second-placed team, and $500,000 to the team securing the third place.
The participants won’t have to worry about making the cut, as the 54-hole Tour doesn’t follow the cut-line policy. 48 players will take the field on March 17th with even the bottom-placed player earning a staggering $120,000. Nonetheless, with $4 million at stake, winning the LIV Golf Tucson won’t be an easy task as some of the greatest golfers will compete for the exorbitant amount.
