‘Thinking of Burning It’: LIV Golf Defector Makes a Bizarre Statement About a Fellow Team At $25 Million Event

After a thrilling tournament in Greenbrier, the LIV Golf squad is in Bedminster, New Jersey for another exciting tournament. Competing at the Trump National Golf Course, LIV golfers are excited for the $25 million event. One thing that has been reiterated by the LIV CEO, Greg Norman, and other LIV golfers is that the Saudi league is just like one big happy family. 

Well, indeed it is true! Just like any other family has its own fair share of roasting and leg pulling, this one has too. A recent video of popular LIV Golf defector went viral on social media, and the golfer shared his thoughts about his rival LIV team. And, those thoughts are bewildering!! 

LIV golfer shares baffling, yet hilarious thoughts about his fellow LIV team

Harold Varner III has been a part of Ranges Goats GC since 2022 when he debuted in the Saudi-funded league. It seems that the golfer only hearts his team on the league, and has grudges for all the other 11 teams on the league.

According to the video shared by the Instagram page, drunkbytheturn, after the first round in Bedminster, an interviewer asked the golfer about the new merch of the fellow LIV team, 4Aces GC. The interviewer was wearing a new cap from the team’s merchandise and wanted to know what the 32-year-old thought of it. The interviewer sarcastically referred to the golfer as one of the biggest 4Aces fans and asked him to rate the hat on a scale of 1 to 10. 

The 32-year-old LIV star was quick to hilariously revert. With a smirk on his face, he said, “I was thinking of burning it when you stood on it.” Kind of shocked by the response, the interviewer asked to confirm, and the golfer just replied affirmatively. Continuing his opinions about his rival LIV team, Varner III said, “I hate the aces.” The golfer then commented about how he thinks that the interviewer likes the aces and how he is a “little top ringer.”

HV3 then said that he would prefer to “ride with the top dog,” and would want his team, RangeGoats GC, to win. Finally, again with a smirk on his face, the golfer hysterically said, “I’mma bust that a**.”

The social media handles of LIV Golf teams are pretty active. The teams’ representatives often actively engage with the fans on the internet. Under this post of Varner sarcastically commenting on the team’s merch, 4Aces GC left a humble comment. 

Dustin Johnson’s team said that Varner would be receiving a merch care package from the aforementioned team. “You have a 4Aces merch care package arriving tomorrow @hv3_golf! You’re welcome 👏,” said the comment.
