After the grand success of LIV Golf Adelaide, the breakaway tour is now all set to host the Singapore Open at the Serapong Golf Course. From May 3 to May 5, the seventh tournament on the calendar will take place, boasting a prize pool of $25 million.
LIV Golf’s final event before the PGA Championship will be a regular 54-player field. Only a handful of them, however, will be heading to the Valhalla on May 16, and thus for those, the event stands to be a launching pad for the major. Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, and 10 others are part of that elite cohort. Needless to say, LIV Golf Singapre marks a rather significant milestone on LIVs calendar!

Although the entire field is jam-packed with talent and skill, no doubt the golf world has its favorites. And the best to win this week among the 54 above are, arguably, none other than Jon Rahm, Joaquin Niemann,, and Talor Gooch himself!
Can Jon Rahm grab his first LIV win this week?
Two former Singapore Open champions will be present on the field this week; however, that doesn’t mean Jon Rahm is throwing in the towel! The Spaniard still tops the list of favorite players in the field, and well, it is high time that he adds a LIV feather to his hat. His worst finishes on the new circuit were in Hong Kong and Las Vegas earlier this year, where he placed eighth. Yes, till now he has had all top-10 finishes at LIV events, and hence fans are undoubtedly hoping he lifts the trophy in Singapore!

Following him on the list of favorites to win this week is Joaquin Niemann, who landed himself on the Top-5 list in LIV Adelaide. The 25-year-old has already been listed as 2nd in driving distance, 5th in putting average, and 7th in reaching the greens in regulation this season, and with so many feats piling up, it remains to be seen if his good days will continue to shine with him grabbing another LIV win this season.

Finally, third on the list is defending champion Talor Gooch, who has already bagged three Top-10s this season. While he’s still looking for his first win this season after a whopping three last year, many would claim that Gooch has lost his spark. But maybe Singapore’s course, where last year he grabbed his incredible first back-to-back LIV wins, will be the site that reignites that?
