The 2023 Ryder Cup is not far and the anticipation amongst the golf fraternity about what the two teams would look like is just enthralling. American fans are eager to know which 12 golfers (rather the captain’s six picks) will be competing against the European’s best and are on the edge of their seats. 

The final team announcements will soon be made by the captain, and some published reports come bearing good news for the LIV golfer Brooks Koepka. Let us dive deep into the story.

Will Brooks Koepka be representing his country in Rome?

It was a very disappointing moment for the fans and golfer when he slipped down to the 7th spot in the Ryder Cup Standings after the BMW Championship. After finishing second in the Masters, and winning the PGA Championship, the golfer was in the top 6 throughout the year in the automatic qualifications list but sadly was nudged off by Xander Schauffele at East Lake. 

Ever since this, many speculations have been made about the 5x major champion’s presence in the team, and fans have been extending their support to him. It seems that US captain Zach Johnson will be granting the fans’ wishes.

As per the published reports in The Guardian, Brooks Koepka is one of the top runners in Johnson’s list of picks. The team’s captain will be announcing the final team for the Rome showdown on Tuesday, and fans will most certainly get to hear Koepka’s name. 

The 33-year-old’s defection to LIV Golf created a lot of uncertainty around his spot as becoming the captain’s choice but Johnson made it clear not long ago that his aim will be to select the best team without thinking about the LIV Gof Vs. PGA Tour feud.  This elating news does not come as a shock. The golfer’s beautiful wife Jena Sims dropped a hit just some hours ago on her social media account, about Koepka’s spot.

Did Jena Sims drop a hint about her husband before the official news? 

The official news about Koepka’s participation in the team is yet to come out, but Sims, like an excited wife started dropping hints for her loving husband early. The new mommy shared a story on her Instagram wherein the golfer was devouring some pizza slices. 

She wrote on the picture, “Foreshadowing?” along with some Italian flags. She also jokingly added intrigue to her post by adding, “IYKYK” with a golf icon. From pizza to everything else, the model’s hints were pretty loud and clear! Well, this will only be confirmed in a matter of a few hours.
