Of late, a viral TikTok question has been blowing up the internet: “How often do you think of the Roman Empire?” Coincidentally, the golf world has been thinking of Rome far too often of late, thanks to the Ryder Cup that begins there on Friday this week. And be it through sheer luck or knowingly, the LIV star Brooks Koepka seems to have jumped onto the trend bandwagon.

The golfer recently took to Instagram to flaunt his love for “the Roman Empire” and join millions in spreading the trend further. And it seems like the LIV star did this motivated by his wife’s reminder. Jena Sims’ latest move has now made certain that all eyes, including her hubby’s, are on her!

Joining the fad ‘Roman Empire’ fad, Brooks Koepka shared a picture of him finishing a swing with the backdrop of a Ryder Cup 2023 board. He wrote in his story, “Thinking of the Roman Empire.” Well, what is with his sudden fascination for the ancient Italian legacy?

This is all thanks to Jena Sims, who recently posted a series of pictures and a video from the ‘Roman Empire.’ She has been sightseeing around Rome, which is arguably one of the richest cities in terms of historical traces. She actually updated her location to “the Roman Empire” to participate in the trend.

The highlight of it all was her caption, which caught her husband’s eye: “Placing myself here so he’s always thinking of me 😉 🏛️🇮🇹” No wonder he felt compelled to ‘respond.’

This entire exchange is about the TikTok trend where media hosts go around asking men the question, “How often do you think of the Roman Empire?” It is interesting because, through their answers, it is something a lot of men actually think about. After all, the history behind arguably the oldest republic in the world is immense. No matter what, it is unlikely that you haven’t heard of Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony, and, of course, Cleopatra.

Another point to note about the trend is the insinuation that each person has their own Roman Empire to think about. As in, an achievement they are chasing that would make them incredibly proud of themselves. And as per Koepka’s story, his is currently the Ryder Cup, and while he works towards that, his wife is exploring the literal Roman Empire!

From the pictures, it looks like Jena Sims has been hanging out with the partners of her husband’s teammates. Sims had tagged the following members in one group picture: Lacey Homa, Katherine Morikawa, Kelly VS Harman, and Team USA’s skipper’s wife, Kimala Johnson.

In one of her solo pictures, Sims stands in front of the famous Trevi Fountain. Apart from the one group photo, Sims is mostly seen alone or with the Morikawa-Harman duo. In a picture, the three ladies were seen trudging along an alley as a group of their own. The trio appears to have bonded quite well in the Italian capital.

In the video, Morikawa, Harman, and Sims were all seen riding in the back of an open cart. The front of the cart was not visible on the video, but it is likely to be a horse-drawn ride, which, although banned on roads, is still a significant attraction in public parks and historical villas!

Hopefully, at the end of the 3-day event, Sims will still be all smiles (thanks to the American side grabbing a win) just like she is in her recent photos. And if that is to be, only time will tell!
