Following him would be his team of golfers named Legion XIII, a squad to which Wyndham Clark was rumored to join. However, it seems the side has been met with a setback, as a recent reveal painted a worrying picture for the Spaniard-led group.
A post was shared on social media reporting how Clark might not join the Saudi-backed league. However, while doing so, the tweet also highlighted the possibility of Rahm bringing in a new professional to the team!
Wyndham Clark’s deal fell through?

A tweet was shared by Flushing It on its X handle mentioning how, as per sources, the “transfer of Wyndham Clark to Legion XIII” on the PIF-funded circuit “might have fallen through.” Adding on, the media outlet also expressed its uncertainty about the future actions of the Spanish professional following the setback.
The tweet indicated how it’s “unclear” who Rahm would “target at this late stage,” if the reported talks with the 1X major champ have actually fallen through. However, the 2023 Masters Champion may also “go back in with another offer” in a bid to rope in the professional.
The news of the 30-year-old joining the Saudi-backed league had started making the rounds following the Spanish golfer’s move to the same. But his name wasn’t the only one being mentioned, as Viktor Hovland was also rumored to jump to LIV Golf with Clark. However, the Norwegian was quick to deny any such rumors as he expressed his desire to play on the PGA Tour, as of now.
Sources are now saying the transfer of Wyndham Clark to Legion XIII on the LIV Golf League might have fallen through. It’s unclear who Jon Rahm will now target at this late stage, or if the Masters Champion will go back in with another offer.

Clark opens up about LIV Golf
In an interview, the 2X PGA Tour champ mentioned how he loves ” traveling the world” all the while “growing the game of golf.” Continuing with his opinion, he made sure to convey his love for his country, the USA, while expressing the need to “play more events outside the U.S. that have both U.S. players and international players.” Moreover, he even went ahead to dub it, “the best thing for the game.”

Although nothing has been confirmed as of now, Clark’s neither confirming nor denying the rumors does throw a bit of light on the current situation.
