Discomforting! That would be an apt description of what Jon Rahm would be feeling right about now, especially if the recent rumors surrounding him come out to be untrue. Even so, it’s not as if the Spaniard’s transition to LIV Golf was ‘smooth like butter, a certain K-pop song suggests. The golfer himself came out candid on the challenges he faced in his defection to the breakaway league.
The athlete was spotted in an interview post-the second round of play at LIV Golf Greenbrier, revealing the same. “I think the biggest challenge for me was going to be the schedule change,” revealed the pro, “But that’s something you can get used to; it’s not a big deal.” Interestingly enough, the Spanish professional was responding to a query about what surprised him in LIV and the adjustments he made.
He didn’t stop there. The athlete also mentioned how there wasn’t anything surprising since he made the jump in December and the first tournament was held on February 2 at Mayakoba. “Having committed to LIV in early December,” divulged the athlete, “I had two months to ask questions and get ready for it. So I wouldn’t say anything was shocking.”

Well, it appears the 2023 Masters champ’s expectations about the PIF-funded league were “pretty on point.” Surprisingly so, this falls along the lines of his recent alleged response to the questions surrounding his loyalty to the PIF-funded circuit. Something that came about owing to the recent rumors of a possible “regret.”
Jon Rahm reportedly speaks out against speculations

One can’t help but lean towards believing the athlete, especially since he has managed to cement his spot at the top of the season-ending leaderboard, at T2. Rahm, throughout the season, has boasted a total of 10 top-10 finishes, including a victory at the event in the UK. This has helped him rake in a total of 165.17 points while tailing behind Joaquin Niemann, who has been nothing short of a dominant force in the 2024 LIV Golf season.
Nevertheless, many of his fans would surely hope he manages to shoot past Niemann and clinch the top spot. But will Jon Rahm be able to do it? That is, however, a question that fans need to wait for to find out!
