LIV Golf Main Man Talor Gooch Gushes About ‘Full Circle’ Moment as Boss Greg Norman Unexpectedly Gets Down on One Knee

LIV Golf’s 2023 season is in its ultimate days, with the final showdown being held in Miami. Amidst the celebrations, Talor Gooch was named the individual champion of the year with 192 points on the standings.

Talor Gooch gets proposed to by Greg Norman

At the celebration held in Miami before the final teams event, Talor Gooch was bestowed the title of Individual Champion 2023. Leading the points table, Gooch has secured his spot for the 2024 LIV season and the title. The CEO of LIV Golf presented Gooch with a ring made by Ben Baller and went down on his knees. 

As Gooch was given the ring, his team members hollered and cheered for their guy and enjoyed the thrilling moment. Later, Talor shared what was going through his mind amidst the chaos. On being asked if he was aware something as incredible as this would occur, he said, “That was a first and I had no idea about it until last night… it’s so, so cool.” 

The RangeGoats FC’s champion also commented on Norman kneeling while presenting him the ring, saying that he was “cracking up.” Furthermore, highlighting the significance of the ring, he said, “Especially given the context with it being made by Ben Baller who is famous for his jewelry, he’s famous for the culture of hip-hop and now he’s in golf. Man, it’s just the full circle.” Last year, Dustin Johnson was also awarded as the individual champion but without a ring or a kneeled-down Greg Norman.

The team has secured a place directly in the semi-finals, given their position. Captained by Bubba Watson, they can compete with Duston Johnson’s 4Aces and Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami.

What is LIV Golf Miami?

LIV Golf Miami is the final event in LIV’s 2023 season. The event will announce the champion team out of the 12. Starting on 20th October, the three-day event will conclude on 22nd October.

Additionally, it comes with a hefty prize purse of $50 million. The winning team has a share of $14 million while individual players will get $1.4 million. From next year, you will have teams with different players as some are facing relegation.
