The LIV Golf Greenbrier event was taking place in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The Smash GC Team captained by Brooks Koepka wasn’t exactly having the best rounds, lagging behind significantly.
Still, the 2-time US Open winner was not disheartened. As he walked the course with his caddie, he noticed an excited kid in the audience waving a white cloth toward him. To show his appreciation for his little fan, Koepka pulled out a ball from his pocket and tossed it to the boy who was wearing a Smash GC cap.
The LIV golf loyalist was seen walking away with a smile on his face. He made the young boy’s day with the Srixon ball that he proudly displayed for the camera.

In reality, the name was in the details of their post. It wasn’t a reference to their new team but the capitalization on ‘Crew’ was the clue. Their newborn baby is named Crew Sims Koepka and he is beautiful.
Koepka eventually ended the Greenbrier event at a lowly 3-under. There is more bad news for him. His Ryder Cup contention is hanging in the balance and his Nike sponsorship may be under scrutiny but Koepka is still smiling and making the world smile with him. His sweet gesture toward his little fan was heartwarming.
