The much anticipated Ryder Cup 2023 is going to be bigger than ever. Scheduled to take place at the famous Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, Rome, Italy from the 25th of September to the 1st of October, the 44th edition already has brought in a lot of controversies even before it began. Thus, it is to see if this season the LIV players can prove themselves and qualify for the teams of the Ryder Cup through the points system.

But Gooch has been surrounded by controversy regarding the statements he made on the coveted tournament last year. Thus, currently ranking 6th on the leaderboard of 2023 LIV Golf London, he made a thought-provoking assertion in an interview, which reflected his modest nature regarding his Ryder Cup chances,Yeah, I’m not going to probably have — my voice probably isn’t going to mean much. My play is what’s going to matter. Just go out there and try to prove that I’m a good enough quality player that they can’t deny it, and I’ve got a couple more weeks to do that, and we’ll see.
