While the battle among the golfers of LIV Golf and PGA Tour will take place in next month’s Masters, the golfers of both Tours have spoken ill about each other constantly. The defectors who’ve joined the Saudi-funded Tour, have shared their misery during their time on the American Tour. However, another golfer joined the list of critics of the PGA Tour who downplayed his former Tour while appreciating the breakaway Tour.
LIV Golf has managed to sign nearly all the big names of the PGA Tour as well as the European Tour. One of their recent signings was Thomas Pieters, who despite being ranked 34th at the time in OWGR, wasn’t invited to Genesis Invitational hosted by Tiger Woods.
Nonetheless, the Belgian golfer seems to be enjoying his time on the newfound Tour, as he praises the chemistry of golfers on LIV Golf and DP World Tour while denouncing the PGA Tour.

PGA Tour is ‘lonely’ unlike LIV Golf, according to Pieters
Thomas Pieters joined the Saudi-funded Tour ahead of the start of the second season. The golfer recently shared his experience at his new Tour at the Fore Play Golf Podcast. However, while praising LIV Golf, he also revealed an unpleasant truth about the American Tour.

Before criticizing the PGA Tour, Pieters initially claimed to enjoy playing at some of the events of the 92-year-old Tour. “I loved playing Bay Hill (Arnold Palmer Invitational) and The Players and all that”, said the Belgian golfer. However, it was the aftermath of the tournaments which he hated the most. Thomas said, “When that golf tournament’s finished or that round is finished, like it’s so lonely”.

Pieters also added how the European Tour was much better than PGA Tour as more players use to spend time together after the events. The latest defector also shared about going to dinner with Harold Varner III and Taylor Gooch, who happen to be his RangeGoats GC teammates. “Last week, Harold and I and Taylor we went out to dinner couple of nights and even even for me that’s normal”, he said.
During their dinner night, Varner III said to him, “We never do this on the PGA Tour”, to which Thomas ‘found that a little bit sad’. While he may have hated his time on the American Tour, the 31-year-old is surely loving his time at LIV Golf. Perhaps, he took the decision for himself and is enjoying it to the fullest.
