Following successful outings from several LIV pros at the PGA Championship, Greg Norman’s league now moves to Trump National Golf Club for its seventh tournament of the season. LIV Golf DC will kick off on May 26, with many golfing heavyweights headlining the field.
Riding high on the triumph of Wanamaker trophy winner Brooks Koepka, LIV will look forward to hosting yet another crowd-puller in the coming days. So, what does the field look like? How much will the winner take home? Let’s find out!
2023 LIV Golf DC power rankings

Golf fans are eagerly waiting for LIV Golf DC to kick off, especially after three players from the Saudi-backed league finished in the top 10. Per the power rankings, here are the five players to watch out for in the impending event.
Coming in at No. 5 is Patrick Reed, who will be hoping to keep the momentum going after his T18 finish at Oak Hill. The 4Aces GC member had also tied at the 11th position in LIV’s last event in Tulsa, following which he took home $350,000 in earnings.
Smash GC’s Matthew Wolff is at number 4 in the power rankings. The 24-year-old had played at the recently-concluded PGA Championship but could only muster up a T40 finish. Wolff has had forgettable outings in recent LIV events and will be hoping to put on a good performance at the Trump National Golf Club.
At number 3, we have Ripper GC captain and defending British Open champion Cameron Smith. The 29-year-old had a great outing at Oak Hill, where he managed to achieve a top-10 finish. The Australian golfer had also come close to winning LIV Tulsa earlier this month but lost to Dustin Johnson in a playoff.
Bryson DeChambeau is at number 2 on the power rankings. After all, the LIV pro, who has undergone a massive transformation in recent times, ended his PGA Championship run with a stellar T4 finish. The 29-year-old will want want keep up the good form, especially with the 2023 U.S. Open just a couple of weeks away.

Finally, RangeGoats GC captain Bubba Watson is number 1. After missing out on competitive golf for over eight months due to his knee surgery, Watson finally returned to action earlier this year. At LIV’s event in Tulsa, the 44-year-old finished at T8 on the leaderboard.
The field at 2023 LIV Golf DC and prize purse
Per usual, LIV Golf DC will see 48 players take the field. Starting on May 26th, it is the seventh event in LIV’s 14-event schedule. No cut is made after 36 holes, and the tournament is just 54 holes. All the 16 LIV pros who appeared at the PGA Championship will also be appearing in the tournament. Fans’ eyes will be on Brooks Koepka, who is returning after winning his 5th major title. Talor Gooch, who created quite a storm with back-to-back wins in Adelaide and Singapore, will have his eyes on a third LIV tournament win.
The event will boast an incredible prize purse of $25 million. $20 million from the purse is reserved for the individual tournament, out of which the winner will be taking home $4 million in earnings. Meanwhile, the remaining $5 million is reserved for the team event, with the victorious team winning $3 million. No Official World Golf Ranking points will be awarded to the competitors.

Defending Champion at 2023 LIV Golf DC
This is the first time a LIV event will be taking place in the D.C. area. Fans’ expectations are through the roof, especially after its highest-attended U.S. tournament at Tulsa. Dustin Johnson had emerged victorious at LIV Tulsa and pocketed the $4 million winner’s payout.
The 2-time major winner will be making an appearance at the upcoming LIV event as well. This comes after the golfer had a forgettable outing at the 2023 PGA Championship.
