Jon Rahm has moved closer to winning his second title of the season. After two successful rounds of LIV Golf Chicago, the Spaniard will be entering the final round with a one-stroke lead. Closing the Saturday round with a birdie, he scored 6-under 64, ahead of Sergio Garcia, who is at 5-under 65. Brooks Koepka, in contrast, had one of the worst matches of the season.
The American had held the 18-hole lead this week, however, ended up carding six bogeys on day two. Despite his make-up attempts during the round, which also included a 20-foot birdie on the final hole, Kopka carded a 73 on Saturday, landing him two strokes behind Rahm.
The final round at the Bolingbrook Golf Club is scheduled to begin on September 15. Just like all the other LIV Golf tournaments, it will be a shotgun start from 12:05 pm ET. The first two groups are Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia, and Jon Rahm, along with Adrian Meronk, Ian Poutier, and Joaquin Niemann. The last group consists of Hudson Stafford, Caleb Surratt, and Bubba Watson. Here’s what the final field will look like on Sunday:
