Have an interesting take?
The 54-player field might not have the eligibility to bag OWGR points because it is an event organized by the breakaway league. But it has other point benefits for the winner. Along with the $4 million prize money, whoever bags the win on Sunday will also be entitled to a whopping $18 million bonus money. Additionally, they will also be getting points for individuals and teams that will be added towards the season-long bonuses and the team championships when the season comes to an end.
However, the competition is not just sunshine and rainbows. It is after this competition that the players will have their eligibility to play in the 2025 season confirmed. All the golfers who will come under the drop zone as the championship finishes will no longer be able to play for the next season. While the ones on the top will have a secure spot.
