Is Bryson DeChambeau's Trump endorsement a bold move or a career misstep?

It seems the ‘Scientist’ has done it again! Don’t get us wrong… Bryson DeChambeau didn’t clinch a third U.S. Open trophy for himself but has gone ahead to engage in a collaboration of sorts with none other than Donald Trump again. Yes, you read that right! For the 2-time major champ made his feelings clear as day once more as the whole country of America awaits the Election Day result.

A tweet was shared by DrunkByTheTurn on their X handle showcasing the golfer supporting the 2024 Presidential candidate. Dark MAGA Dechambino!! #Trump2024,” wrote the handle as they shared a picture of Bryson DeChambeau sporting a ‘Dark Maga’ hat with the slogan, “Make America Great Again,” on his head.

This time, they seem to have taken their collaboration to the ex-POTUS’s field (read as politics). But last time, it was the two collaborating on the course. Remember the LIV Golf Pro’s iconic ‘Break 50’ series? It’s the exact YouTube video that saw an amateur golfer Donald Trump outshine the likes of professional golfers.

How did he do that, you might wonder. Well, although the 31-year-old DeChambeau has joined hands with many popular professionals and non-professionals alike, he has only managed to come close to the objective of the show one time. Any guesses? Yes, he did it with none other than the former President of the United States of America.

The two took to card a 22-under overall at the Trump Bedminster in a two-man scramble as they dished out 12 birdies alongside 5 eagles at the 18-hole course. Had they been able to either birdie or eagle the par-3, 6th hole where the two only cash out a par-score, then the duo would have very well been able to ‘Break 50’. Regardless of the outcome, they sure were able to make quite a few people happy with the collab.

Bryson DeChambeau’s old collab with Donald Trump had a philanthropic nature

Have an interesting take?

“This is about golf and giving back to our nation’s veterans,” wrote the LIV golfer on his official X handle just days before the start of the ‘Break 50’ episode. And give back, he did, for the two pledged to donate a figure of $10,000 for every birdie that they scored, not to mention donating $20,000 for every eagle that was dished out as well.

The result? A whopping amount of $220,000 from the iconic collaboration that they were able to give to the Wounded Warriors Foundation. “I’ve done a lot for them in the past,” said Bryson DeChambeau later on in a press conference at the LIV Golf UK event. “And it was fantastic to see that he was willing to support it.”

The two golfers sure did create a wave on the internet as the video managed to surpass 10 million views on the online streaming platform days after it was released. But will they manage to rake in the same success now that Bryson DeChambeau and Donald Trump did back then when they made the video? The fans can only sit back and await the results!
