As the event is set to kick off on August 11th, it will see a field of 48 players split into 12 teams. Many famous players will headline the tournament including Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, and Dustin Johnson, among others.
DeChambeau is a fan favorite to win the event as the American golfer had pulled off a stunning performance at the LIV Golf event in Greenbrier. Another name to look out for is the Aussie golfer Smith who won the event in London and took home $4 million. The defending champion Henrik Stenson, will look to claim back his trophy this year.
The event would only be able to reward the golfers from the prize purse as they still do not offer FedEx Cup or OWGR points to the winner. While many are in the hopes of making it to the Ryder Cup through the captain’s pick, a curtain of uncertainty exists as much hasn’t been revealed regarding the rosters of each team.
Nevertheless, the Saudi-backed event at Bedminster will hope its players achieve many more feats as the previous event did. Let us now check out the prize money involved as well as the prize money breakdown.
