After a smashing weekend at Greenbrier where Bryson DeChambeau bagged his first LIV victory on the tour, the Saudi-backed league is ready to host its next event, LIV Golf Bedminster in New Jersey Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. This is the second event of this year that will be hosted on a golf course owned by Donald Trump. The third event will be in Doral, in Miami, Florida.
The tournament follows a 54-hole individual stroke play format with a special team element. During the game, four-man teams will be selected via a draft by their designated team captains, with a set number of their total scores will be counted for the team every day. Each round will begin with a shotgun start, and the leaders begin on the first hole for the final round, to finish on the eighteenth.

Sitting on number five is Mito Pereira who hails from Chile. Though he is yet to make his first win on the tour, he has been displaying excellent skills at its events. In the LIV Golf Orlando, even he finished on T5 and performed even better at the LIV Golf Washington DC and made it to T3. He came T14 at Andalucia and with great performance finished on the second rank at Greenbrier the past week. Perhaps this could be the week Pereira makes his debut win on LIV Golf.
Bryson DeChambeau is at number four. It has been a year since he joined the league and finally attained his first victory at last week’s Greenbrier. On Sunday he made 58 at the par-70 by defeating Mito Pereira by six shots. He also gave a good performance at the Andalucia where he finished on the second spot. He will try his best to carry the winning into a second consecutive week.
Vying on for the competition in the third spot is Cameron Smith. A strong player on the tour Smith bagged his second victory at the LIV Golf London Tournament, where he took away the lead by the margin of one stroke. His performance at last week’s Greenbrier was also satisfactory where he tied on T32 with Dustin Johnson and two others.
Sitting on number two is Dustin Johnson, who is also among the most expensive player due to the game value he brings on the field. Under his captainship, in the last year his team 4 Aces GC, has won four tournaments–Portland, Bedminster, Boston, and Chicago. In May 2023, he won the LIV Golf Tulsa and in July he again led his team to victory at the LIV Golf London event. He will eye another win this week.
And finally, the top contender for this week is Talor Gooch. Maintaining the most impressive profiles on the tour this year, Goch has won three events. He began with LIV Adelaide in April, then followed it just next week at LIV Golf Singapore, and then made his latest victory at LIV Golf Andalucía in July. This is the most wins anyone has made in the newly formed league so far. And Gooch will give his best effort to add a fourth win at Bedminster.
